Sunny days and hot temperatures usually cause us to be thirsty and crave for thirst quencher. With many varieties of drinks available in the market and kept chilled in the refrigerator, it can be quite tempting to buy almost everything and chug it all when possible. However, as many drinks available are heavily laced with sugar or artificial flavouring, you may not get any health benefit from drinking and possibly end up with diseases such as diabetes if you continue to drink such beverages. Here are 10 healthy drinks that you might want to incorporated into your daily life:

1-    Plain water. Though it may seem the most boring drink ever, we need to go back to basics. Water is still the healthiest drink as it provides everything for the body to function well. It is cheap and probably the easiest drink you can have anytime and anywhere. Plain water should be your go-to-drink. So, make sure to get eight glasses of water every day.

2-    Tea. Being one of the beverages with the most consumption worldwide, 6.3 billion kilograms of tea has been brewed, drunk and become everyone’s cup of tea. It is rich with flavonoids and antioxidants which helps build a strong body immunity and being well in general. For example, green tea provides protection against heart disease and improves brain function. Remember to drink it plain when it is possible to reap all the tea goodness.

3-    Coffee. Aside from tea, coffee is also popular among worldwide drinkers. It has been proved to help protect against diabetes. To get the health benefits, coffee is best taken plain and not with sugar, cream, whipped cream or flavouring.

4-     Low fat milk. Milk offers calcium, vitamin D and protein that helps strengthen bones and build strong muscles. Low fat varieties contain less saturated fat and are much healthier compared to whole milk.

5-    Soy milk. Have you ever wondered why soy milk is usually in small packs? The small pack is loaded with proteins and omega-3 fatty acids. Drinking soy milk helps you gain a complete protein that is essential for the body.

6-    Orange juice. Oranges are high in vitamin C and antioxidants. It is citrusy and sweet, making it one of the easiest beloved juices all around the world. Go on and drink a cup of fresh plain orange juice a day to help boost immunity and a healthy skin.

7-    Lemon juice. Try changing your usual order for lemonade to lemon juice. Squeeze those lemons to get the potent antioxidant for a long healthier life and enjoy it sugar-free.

8-    Pomegranate juice. This red diamond-like seed, also known as the fruit of heaven in Greek mythology, is packed with nutrients such as vitamin A, C & E for the human body. These vitamins aid by improving heart’s health and strong body immunity.

9-    Green juice. If eating vegetables seems like a hurdle, you may want to opt for green juice.
